heard this litening to the They Might Be Giants' Clock Radio, available for download off thier website. I was very amused.

Hillbilly Drummer Girl

She came down from the Ozarks
To the big city Memphis world
She's a legend and a landmark
Hillbilly drummer girl

A stomach full of whiskey,
More than any man
A bar of broken tables,
And empty gasoline cans
A black bohemuth Caddie,
Sleeping bag in back
Pulls right through the floor boards,
A rolling chicken shack

She came down from the Ozarks
To the big city Memphis world
She's a legend and a landmark
Hillbilly drummer girl
Hillbilly drummer girl

At Ten o'clock tomorrow,
Playing for a crowd of six
Free beer and eight dollars,
That's money for new sticks
Party 'cross the river,
Ends up in the mud
Morning in the drunk tank,
Coffee and dried blood

She came down from the Ozarks
To the big city Memphis world
She's a legend and a landmark
Hillbilly drummer girl
Hillbilly drummer girl

The ducks are in the lobby,
And Graceland's down the roll
A vacant lot, a pile of bricks,
Now she's the living soul

She came down from the Ozarks
To the big city Memphis world
She's a legend and a landmark
Hillbilly drummer girl
Hillbilly drummer girl
Hillbilly drummer girl

Happy National Engineer's Week, Adam

Who knew?

They made a sequel to Rocky Horror. It probably sucks, though. I'll look for it anyway, of course.

stupid renovations!

I am thoroughly annoyed. My new mailbox (the metal kind, without the windows, so I can't see whether I have mail in the first place) is on the bottom row. I can just see myself seriously injuring my knees, back, or skull (standing up into someone else's open door) attempting to get my mail. Oh, yeah, I've got yet another set of numbers to remember now too. Bah, Useless!

Big news for the weekend: Emily and I have come to an agreement that the relationship has kinda fizzled out. So it's officially over. I'm single again. MIxed feeling toward the whole thing, really. It's depressing, but at least I'm not wondering where we stand anymore.

After some pondering, I have decided once again that Iago is by far the most realistic, and therefor among the best villians ever created. (it doesn't hurt any that Christopher Walken played him opposite Raul Julia's Othello either.)

hehehee... and yes, I do know it's 2:15 in the morning. I'm trying to find a decent ending to this short story that's due in 8 1/2 hours
for anyone who might care, this guy is the freaky "green dragon man" in the latest issue of Exiles (#42)

Domo Arigato

Strange things people have said to me #3216:

"Every time we need more marshmallows, we just take another quarter mile of the great barrier reef, mix it with two unicorn horns, and throw in a whole horse."

Darksteel

Somehow, I think the indestructible mechanic is going to cause an awful lot of confusion to casual players. I know that I'm still sketchy on what exactly the ability entails.
Server quirks fixed. Took long enough.

Wolfsbane -- A foundation in faith and spirituality
is what holds you together, despite the abuse
you have suffered from others. The scar you
bear is the tendency to blame yourself for all
that goes wrong in your life. As you try to
offset the misplaced guilt with a passion for
purity, you need to be careful not to be too
hard on yourself. The need to love and be
loved runs deep in you, and you are usually in
a relationship. You are very emotional, and
will ferociously protect friends and family.

Which of the original New Mutants are you?

I am really, really annoyed. THe school server was down for a couple days, and now that it's "working" again, I can't FTP anything to my website, MSN Messenger doesn't connect, and (this is probably unrelated, but it still annoys me) I've downloaded MTG Online, but the page where I register doesn't seem to exist!

looking through the archives.... man, was I whiney in high school.
How 'bout that Superbowl, huh?
