Washington Baseball

well now. THe Expos are moving to D.C. THis'll probably make the Orioles fans mad as it'll take away from their ticket sales.
Personally, I just wonder if they'll keep the name or become the Senators, like the old D.C. team was. Or maybe something else entirely.
Apparently, my Visabuxx card has been lost in the mail. They were nice enough to send another one out, though, but for some stupid reason, they won't send it to me directly, which means there'll be a few days when I can't access all that wonderful money of my parents' ;-)
which also means that I have to wait even longer to get the brakes on my Jeep fixed, which I'm equally not happy about.

okay... first, I'm feeling better. Not nearly as sick as I was. Second, sorry I missed the call from my parents on Sunday. I really should get back to them. THird... um... oh yeah. Internet randomly stopped working in the house, so I'm sitting in the lab. Should call somebody and complain about that.

Proving once again that I'm an uber-geek

So I went to a Renaisance Fair yesterday (Saturday) with some people from the house. Good time had by all, naturally. As We're walking around, looking into the stalls, tents, etc. I see this tent with a sign that says something like "artwork of Edward Beard, Jr." So I go "I know that guy!" and go look around. He paints illustrations for Magic Cards, as it turns out. So what do I do? Shell out $20 for a signed 8.5x11 print of Ashnod's Coupon of course!

stuff

1) my printer's fixed! yay! Just need tio go pick it up now
2) it rained a lot this week. This means two things: we discovered that our roof leaks, and large parts of downtown Meadville are flooded
3) need to take the Jeep in and get them to look at the brakes. They squeal a lot, and the car feel like its pulling right. THis may be the brakes being applied unevenly, or misallinment. Either way, the car needs to go to the shop.

gahhhhhhh!

Just heard back from the people at High Tech Computer about my printer. They don't want to go anywhere near it because, apparently, it's "too difficult to get replacement parts" or something. Not that I think they'd need them to fix a friggin' non-existent paper jam.... hopefully.
oh well. I'll talk to some other computer places in town and see what they can do for me. I really really don't want to go buy a new one since I just got this one, like a year ago....
hmm.... I wonder if its still under warranty?

if it's not one thing...

my printer is being stupid. It says there's a paper jam, but there isn't. Well, okay, something could be jammed in there, but I just can't see it, which means I can't clear it. And yes, I have tried turning it off, and unplugging it, and almost tried taking it apart myself, then decided to call a computer repair place, because they'll probably be able to put it back together, too.
Just need to wait for them to call back, now.
