The meal will be £9.50 +drinks per person. Details are available. Please let us know in advance if you want to come.

If you're not from the UK you are entitled to claim your tax (VAT) back when you leave the country. This does not include the VAT on stuff consumed n the country (hotel bills, food, etc), and any previous statement made to the contrary was me being misinformed by a junior memeber of the hotel staff. Just take your receipt to the VAT Refund desk at the airport. At Heathrow it's just past security in departures. Be warned that is sometimes quite a queue at the refund desk.
To claim back your VAT, ask the retailer when you make the purchase (not everyone provides the forms). More details on the UK Customs & Excise web site
It's hard to guess the weather in London in January, but statistically, the temperature should average between 36-46°F. There's about a one in three chance of rain or snow. Veryunlikely to snow this year. And it's not been very cold at all lately. My scarf and gloves have been just extra things to carry.
For those who have asked, we do have a wedding registry.
