The post-wedding lunch

There is a very good chance we will not get a chance to have decent one on one conversations with everyone at the wedding. This is a particular annoyance for those come in from from out of town. To minimise this problem, we've arranged a day-after-the-wedding lunch for out out-of-town guests.

We've have a private room in a quaint old 350-ish year old British pub just off of Fleet Street: Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese.

How to get there

The pub is on Wine Office Court, an alley at 145 Fleet Street. You can very easily walk there from Club Quarters. Just walk down Ludgate Hill away from St Pauls. Ludgate Hill will turn into Fleet street. Keep walking, and it will be on your right. You'll pass a Boots and a Carphone Warehouse. If you pass the Rymans Stationary store you've gone too far. You'll also pass about 30 Starbucks on the way, so that doesn't help .

Lunch starts at 11:30 and will go on for a few hours. If you're checking out of the hotel (checkout is at noon), they will be happy to store your luggage there until you come back, so do not let that stop you from coming.

The food

The food consists of semi-traditional pub fare -- but tasty nonetheless. We are having a fork buffet costing £9.50 per head. To simplify paying, one of the wedding party (TBD) will collect the money over the course of the meal.

They will be serving

Half the dishes are chicken and half are pasta. If you're extremely opinionated about what you want, make sure you get there on time . And, of course, there is a bar, so you can purchase whatever aloholic drinks you so wish.
