friends

We had Wes Arthur (the former pastor at St Matthew's, the church I grew up in) over for dinner last night. And by "we" I mean my parents. And by "over" I mean they invited him to Adam's apartment. In any case, it was good to see him again, and he's doing very well, apparently gotten his medications all sorted out. My mom made Indian food, so I was happy about that, too, of course.

I saw Sara Bodde for a few hours today. It was nice of her to come out here and visit me. As always, it didn't feel like a ling enough visit, but she has a life of her own, too. We went to lunch and just hung out. I heard some more about this Dave guy she's seeing, and it sounds like he's a good guy and taking care of her like she deserves.

It looks like I'm leaving on Friday around noon, so I have a couple days left here. But my mom doesn't get back from visiting aunt Nancy until tomorrow night so I have no transportation of my own tomorrow. THis means, among other things, that I won't get the chance to see everybody I wanted to while I'm here. I'm sorry about that, guys, but this is the way things are right now. I would've liked some more time in Fairfax, but you can't always get what you want, can you?
