Spider-Man 2

Just saw Spider-Man 2 with my family (whoa, thaty sounds weird. the whole family hasn't been together like this for quite a while). As expected, it was an awesome movie! That having been said, I feel it suffered many of the same problems the first movie had. Like the heavy-handed moral message (you asll know it, so I won't assault you with it here). Also, like the first movie, there was a scene, completely unneccesary in my opinion, in which a bunch of New Yorkers save Spider-Man. Now, that's all good and nice of them, but it felt tacked on. Like some exwcutive read the script and said "huh. that's good, but we need to make New Yorkers look good so the tourism council won't hate us." Or maybe it was leftover 9/11 sympathy, who knows. Either way, the scene felt contrived and out of character for the writing of the rest of the film. Other than those two things, though, I thought it was a great movie. I anticipate the third one, because we all know they're making it.
