Magnus is no longer Goth, but he got all dolled up just for my photo shoot. I felt honored.
Mags is one of the hardest-working people I know, and my parents view him as the son they never had. Unlike me, he graduated from college.
A story that I find somehow quintissentially Magnus: back when we were in college, he was reading various self-help books. A lot of them were twelve-step programs, in which one of the steps is to give all your problems over to a higher power. Magnus doesn't believe in God, so he gave all his problems over to Madonna. It worked.
