tainted intentions

the more we try, the more futile it becomes.
attempt at happiness is depression.
to feel pure intention is hopeless.
purity and perfection are impossibilities.

nail me to the cross so i am pitied.
i will help others to help myself.
mourning death just to relate.
suicidal only for the sympathy.

self-centered motives drive eternal longing.
self-focused lies; just tries to obscure reality.
self-lusted beliefs are unseen through conditioning.
selflessness is hypocritical.

burn me at the stake so i am flaunted.
i will save you for your worship.
clandestinely conforming for acceptance.
miserable for attention.

don't even try, all is futile.
abandon your attempts at happiness.
your attempt at good intention is hopeless.
purity and perfection are your downfall.
