onyx rose
the blackest of roses bloom in the new moon darkness
devoid of color and life, they thrive from evil's starkness
mercury tainted blood spills forth, defiling all in its path
unscathed by the perverting poison, the dark petals open
a single onyx rose
grown in the garden of my soul
alone in an ebony cage
a menacing reminder of the past
roots extending to the core of the universe, seizing time
slowly wandering into the dimension of consciousness
feeding from the unknown and that yet to be discovered
the omniscient unseen can only perceive the ambiguous
a single onyx rose
grown in the garden of my soul
alone in an ebony cage
a menacing reminder of the past
the unholy wickedness flows into the hearts of lovers
a ray of blasphemous obscurity envelops the web of passion
exposing from the light what is unseen to the consecrated
cleansing the corruption of a flawed baptism into life
a solitary ebony blossom
cultured in the soil of my emotion
isolated in a gloomy jail
an ominous souvenir of the old
the blackest of roses bloom in the new moon darkness
devoid of color and life, they thrive from evil's starkness
mercury tainted blood spills forth, defiling all in its path
unscathed by the perverting poison, the dark petals open
