      Completed 40-hour course in professional bartending, including hundreds of drink recipes, a certification program in techniques of responsible alcohol management, a final written examination, and drink-making speed trials.

    • Systems Engineer, Washington Post.Newsweek Interactive, Arlington, VA
      Responsible for all UNIX-based computers supporting www.washingtonpost.com, including those hosting the website itself, as well as the publishing system. Worked with a small Infrastructure team to keep these systems running and up-to-date; duties included 24-hour on call, and working closely with programmers and designers.

    • Technical Account Manager, Frontier GlobalCenter Inc., (now Exodus Communications), Herndon, VA
      Technical liason between GlobalCenter and several assigned clients. First point of contact for those clients, to resolve technical issues, assist with logistics, ensure that all projects are carried through to satisfactory completion. Led a team of four Technical Account Managers, to delegate new clients, assist with technical issues, and serve as a primary point of issue escalation.

      Provide technical support to hundreds of clients and UNIX computers hosted at the Digex facility.

  • Participant in the Washington, DC AIDS Ride, June 2001. Raised over $4000 for AIDS-related services in the DC area

  • Musical Director of an entirely student-created, student-run a cappella group at the University of Virginia, 1994 - 1995. Member of this group, 1992 - 1996.

  • University Transit Service, 1994 - 1996. Drove bus for everyday mass transit around the university; selected to train new drivers, May 1995 and January 1996 sessions.

  • Founding member of the student-run Virginia Women's Chorus, 1994 - 1996.

  • Sundog Productions, summer 1993 and 1994. Hand-dyed garments, maintained records of completed work, supervised production team for Polo line.
