Discussion
Give the students a chance to ask questions about the demos.
-
Announce that today we are going to work on art and music, since you often need both to create games
-
Let students know that today we hope to save their work to come up with a class portfolio
-
Encourage the students to open the interactive art Scratch demos and change them
Creating Musical Art Projects
The rest of the time will be a lab session directed towards creating something that uses the art and music techniques demonstrated earlier.
-
Help each student start a project that is saved with their name in s:\scratch
-
Encourage each student to write about what they are trying to do in the Project Notes area
At 20 minutes before the class ends, help students save their work.
