It's a war zone, we hit them, oops! This is what happens during military action. When the US senses a military action in an area we pull our guys OUT, except for the disposable consular types. Military action means mistakes -- it's not clean, surgical strike is a Joke -- it's basically throwing rocks at someone while they throw rocks at you and you keep doing it til the other guy can't throw any more rocks (or according to recent US policy til you can pretend you've won while the other guy collects more rocks). The one thing that people must accept is that during "CONFLICT" people DIE -- I was listening to NPR this morning and the talk about limiting casualties while destroying tanks, GUESS WHAT there are people in those tanks and we are killing them -- that is our purpose for being there (we wear the white cowboy hat; they wear the black cowboy hat -- white hats kill black hats... e.g. Spy-vs-Spy). Also, I am very tired of hearing about not doing collateral damage where there is the possibility of Civilian casualties. This is a ploy that has been used over and over... Protect civilians, who in turn protect troops. Three weeks ago when that convoy was destroyed and the media was all up in arms because there were civilian vehicles in the convoy that were destroyed -- wolf in sheep's clothing! We have apologized and kowtowed to them as much as we should and they in turn use this as a chance to get the "excitable" student protesters concentrating on the big bad US rather than the social situation in the state... It is ten years since Tianamen and 50 years since the founding of the PRC!!! The Chinese are grateful to us for fucking up because they can get the masses focused away from their absence of reformist policy. This may take the heat off of them over the summer, this is why they chose not to report this in their media -- they wanted to incite a nationalistic fervor. AND, it worked. As to the CIA, IDIOTS... They may be using five year old maps, but they certainly have other resources. They have a base with spy planes in Ankara, Turkey, which I am sure has atleast done some recon work/aerial photography. global satellite imagery coupled with geographic information systems, and access to newer maps (hell I have a small map of Belgrade, because one of my grantees is trying to figure out what to do with there students who were going there this summer). The thing is they chose not to use them, OR more likely (personal opinion) the 'TARD pilot didn't pay attention and blew shit out of the first building that fit the bill -- and during conflict you can't say anything negative about military personnel (even if a third of them are barely literate, cousin-fuckers who leech on the gov't tit and reproduce like rabbits -----
