Subject: The Last Poem for Richard

Since I didn't get to send off a poem yesterday, because
I was too busy (though I'm still too busy today, I feel 
this needs to be published and is thus more important than 
anything else. It is loosely based on recent events and
discussion here on blah and goes perfectly with the tune
of "Clementine". Any resemblance to anyone living, dead,
or stapled is directly my fault, so sue me:

The Ballad of Judd:Mime Killer*
---------------------------------------

In a city, name of New York
In a place before our time
Lived a mad clown name of Downer
And he really hated mimes

He had hunted round about for
All the mimes that he could find
If he got his mad hands on them
Just like burger, they would grind

When the mimes in ol' NYC
All were stuck upon his lance
Then the mad clown name of Downer
Took his grinder off to France

And the Frenchmen they did greet him
And they did a little dance
But when Downer spotted mimes there
He was glad he went to France

So the mimes they disappeared
No one cared just where they went
But the mimes had spotted Downer
Knew exactly what he meant

So the mimes they got together
Had a conference for their kind
Knew if Downer wasn't stopped soon
None of them would you now find

So they gestured to each other 
And they pointed fro and to
But the violent knifing motion
Showed what they all planned to do

But ol' Downer saw them coming
And he had his own good plan
So he stepped around the corner
And he grabbed that first mime man

Stuffed the first one in a box
Which no one else could see
Then he locked the box quickly
And he tossed away the key

Got the next one with a fake gun
Shot the next two in the backs
The fourth, fifth, and the sixth one
Got his big invisible axe

Then Ol' Downer took his time now
And he strangled two or three
Knocked a few in front of fast cars
Hung up several in a tree

Now you think that those old Frenchmen
Would be happy as can be
But those Frenchmen like their mimes
Awful more than you and me

So if you should ask the question
Why the French are just so rude
Just remember in their country
Downer's bad, but mimes are good.
