Subject: So gothic they called the cops
I slipped on some steps and almost killed myself in front of a house at
work today. Anyway, I went and laid down on the sidewalk at the corner of
the street for a little while because I was in a lot of pain. A few
minutes later, the police showed up. Apparently, someone had seen me and
come to the conclusion that I was a dead body and called the cops. I was
eventually able to persuade the police that I was in fact alive and they
left. A couple minutes later, an ambulance showed up. A few minutes
later, a large group of fifteen teenagers approached me. They had seen
the police and heard that someone had been beaten up and dumped on the
corner. I think that they were rather disappointed that it was just the
simple and common mistake of confusing me with a dead body.
