Balsamic Strawberries

strawberries, halved (fresh and ripe)
1/3 cup
balsamic vinegar (reduced)
2 tablespoons
honey (warm)
In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar until thick (about 1/3 cup).
In another pan over low heat, heat honey until a pourable syrup.
In a non-reactive mixing bowl, gently combine all the ingredients.
Allow to stand, refrigerated, for at least 1 hour before serving.
NOTES:
You can serve this with fresh whipped cream (1 tablespoon per serving) but not necessary.
You may also garnish this with a small sprig of mint for color.
