Paula Volsky's Grand Ellispe, which seems to be a kind of fantasy Around the World in 80 Days with a female protagonist and a burbeoning world war. But I've just started, so we'll see.

And before that, Keith Hartman's The Gumshoe, the Witch & the Virtual Corpse, a 20-minutes-into-the-future fantastic "thriller" set in an Atlanta which is utterly familiar because it looks like the current American south viewed through wavey glass. It's a fun read, but after a while the author's view of Atlanta (particularly his pitting of Fundamentalist Christians against Neopagans) gets a little tired.
