Pink Cog

Dimmalimm is painted on a piece of approximately 3.5'x3.5' masonite. The work is named after a fairy tale my mother used to read to me as a child - we were living in Sweden at the time, and the story was written and illustrated by an Icelander by the name of Guðmundur Thorsteinsson, otherwise known as Muggur. Dimmalimm is a tale about a little girl and (I believe) a prince who has been turned into a swan.

The lines of the painting remind me of the front cover illustration of Dimmalimm, and so I felt it was an appropriate name.

By the time I upload the new, improved picture of the painting, I will have also looked up the plot of the fairy tale.
