This list is devoted to discussion of "hacking" on Mac OS X. Topics have included crazy ways of wiring up the Finder and the command line, how to make unix things happen in the Mac world, and More(tm). We are talking about hacking in the traditional "mucking about with things" sense rather than the modern "breaking into other people's systems" sense. See: . This list is not for discussion of illegal activities, including but not limited to (a) breaking into systems which aren't yours, (b) malicious coding (unleashing viruses, worms, etc.), (c) copyright infringement ("file sharing", warez sites, serial "kracks", etc.). That said, if the topic has to do with bending your copy of OSX to your will, it's probably appropriate for this list. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the OSXHack Archives. To post a message to all the list members, send email to osxhack@obscure.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to OSXHack
Subscribe to OSXHack by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
