Hi Chris,

I agree with you, but I think there are lots of people who can't execute 
cgi-scripts on the server.

Besides, the personalized whatsnew page is a niche service, so why not 
try out several methods to find the best?

BTW: It is a good edication in JavaScript programming to :-)
